Honestly, unless you feel confident one way or the other, this is probably a game to stay away from this week. I’m thinking the Bears win 24-21 now, meaning it barely hits the over. I think Chicago does find a way to win this week, but it will be close. This game looks to be a toss-up and I just cannot find myself trusting Matt Nagy enough to feel confident in a win. Originally I had the Bengals winning this game 28-20, but that also involved the emotions of the horrific loss to the Rams last week. The over/under on the game is set 44.5 - 0.5 points less than it was originally to start the week. The Bengals are now sitting at +110 after being at +130 (bet $200 to win $130) just a few days ago. The Chicago Bears went from -150 to -130. As most home teams get a three-point bump in the spread, this is technically favoring the Bengals to win. Well, technically the game was essentially a pick-em game to start the week, but the spread has shifted from the Bears as a -3.0 favorite to a -2.0 favorite. WynnBET’s Week 2 NFL odds have the Bears as favorites at home. Bears vs Rams Odds, Spread, Over/Under, & Betting Pick Week 2 The team also has two players who are questionable - Markus Bailey (LB) and Darius Phillips (CB). The Bengals will be without Ricardo (S) Allen and Trae Waynes (CB). Quinn was a full participant on Friday and is also questionable. Other notables on the injury report for the Bears are Jason Peters (quad), who practiced all week as a limited participant and is questionable, and Robert Quinn (back), who was a limited participant Wednesday and Thursday. This is a shot at Matt Nagy for those who don’t understand. He is listed as doubtful and if I had to guess, his arrow is pointing down, way down. Goldman was a limited participant on Wednesday but then did not practice on Thursday and Friday. He missed last week’s game due to the same injury. Elijah Wilkinson starting at left tackle will be a disaster.Īlso on the injury report is Eddie Goldman again. Hopefully, the Chicago Bears will get Jason Peters back from his quad injury. The injury is a high ankle sprain and it’s tough to see seeing how well Borom has been playing as a fifth-round rookie. This means he will miss at least three games. Larry Borom was placed on short-term injured reserve today. If the Chicago Bears drop to 0-2 on the season, their chances of making the playoffs drop drastically to only 12 percent. This team needs to make a few changes if they want to find a way to win. The Chicago Bears cannot afford to go that far into the hole if they want to keep their playoff hopes alive. Matt Nagy has never started the season with an 0-2 record. Just as the team has not fared well in the season opener, the opposite is true with the second game of the season. What is important though, is that the Bears find a way to beat the Bengals. This is good news though seeing that they came away with a 12-4 season in 2018 and an 8-8 season in 2019. Last season was the only season the Chicago Bears have won the season-opener under Nagy’s regime. They find themselves 0-1 to start the season for now the third time in Matt Nagy’s four-year tenure. The Chicago Bears and Matt Nagy are in very familiar territory.
